probably one of the BIGGEST, if not THE BIGGEST rivalry in English Football.
i remember fondly the first experience ive had was in Jan 2005. the game then was shown at e open area in front of Carlton Hotel (now the space is building up some-thing... :P) self-confessed Liverpool hatred, Wayne Rooney scored the only goal of that game. it was a bitter pill to swallow... since then, THE REDS (Liverpool nick) have picked up only one point in league encounter.
the arrogance, the mind games of those players n managers... make me hate them even more... my dad put up a poster of Liverpool last title winning poster back in 1990. he echoed:
son, you'll be brought up and taught to hate, FARKING HATE MAN UNITED...
okie.. and thats how my love n support started then... :)
Liverpool these days is a team playing wif more sheer n grit determination as compared to jus mainly defending after taking e lead or bow to defeat after going behind. last Sat, of all stadiums in England. Liverpool not only came back strongly after going behind to a unfortunate penalty, they could have scored more than just 4 goals had captain Steven Gerrard not wastefully blasted his shot when facing United stopper Van de Sar.
Liverpool tailsman scorer, Fernando Torres... playing wif a strain ankle, gave United defender Vidic a shameful time when he outpaced the latter to make e score at 1 apiece.
everytime the camera shows Torres clutching his ankle in slight agony. my heart goes out to him, never gave up when hes hurt. in addition giving his all to try n placed e ball in his opponent goal is wat makes a decent striker... my heart was tearing not only had my beloved Liverpool humiliate United in convincing fashion but how calm and composed the players were even when it seems winning e game is harder than scoring goals.
this team have tot me something which i find rather rubbish at first...
theres rainbow after a storm,
theres hope if you work hard,
never try never succeed...
IMPOSSIBLE??? IS NOTHING...!
